Heavy trailers, campers, or bed loads can make the rear suspension sag and throw off steering and braking. The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 air springs provide up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling support to keep everything level from front to rear. With even weight distribution across all four wheels, braking stays consistent and steering stays confident under heavy load. The system helps maintain proper headlight aim and protects the factory suspension from strain when towing or hauling.
Every haul or trailer is different, and these air springs adjust to match. Air Lift’s LoadLifter 5000 lets you fine-tune the support between 5 psi and 100 psi. Inflate both springs equally for towing or inflate each one independently for side-to-side leveling of uneven loads. Manual inflation valves and air lines are included, typically mounted on the bumper for easy access. You can also add an optional compressor system with in-cab gauges or wireless control for on-the-go adjustments.
The LoadLifter 5000 is designed for long-term durability in demanding conditions. Each spring is made of 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber with corrosion-proof Zytel nylon endcaps that are lighter and stronger than steel. Air Lift’s exclusive upper and lower roll plates protect the bags from damage while increasing load capacity. These design choices help prevent air leaks and extend the life of the system through years of towing and hauling.
Under load, bouncing or sway can make driving feel unstable. The LoadLifter 5000 absorbs road shock and minimizes body roll so the truck feels planted over bumps and in curves. By keeping the rear suspension steady, it reduces uneven tire wear and helps maintain comfort even when towing heavy cargo or driving on rough roads.
Everything needed comes in the box—mounting brackets, hardware, manual valves, and air lines—so setup is straightforward with basic tools. The system bolts up cleanly to the rear axle without complicated routing or drilling. Once installed, just set your preferred pressure, hook up your trailer or load, and drive knowing your suspension is leveled, stable, and ready for work.

I ordered Air Lift Loadlifter 5000 Air Helper Springs for my Ford F-150 to reduce rocking and uneven suspension when I tow our camper, and reduce uneven/excessive wear on my tires and brakes. A customer support specialist at etrailer answered my questions and helped me place the order. I received email confirmation of my order within minutes, the product was shipped less than half an hour later, and arrived two days sooner than I expected. The product was delivered in a perfect condition and as scheduled. Very simple installation for 2016 Ford F150. The Ride with 5 lbs is better than the factory ride. I thought it would be a rough based on what others said. The rear height did get raised by 1/2" at 5 lbs. With a good bicycle pump it took 4 pumps to get to 20 lbs., that's much better than getting out the the compressor.
Install was not bad at all, just took some time. I use this to adjust my fifth wheel, and tractor trailer. I’m able to get a good amount of tongue weight, then inflate to send some weight to the front of my truck. Everything pulls much better than before. I preferred the manual air over the automatic. My buddy has the automatic, because they are tied together, when he parks on a grade it causes one side to squat pretty bad. If you are considering this, I’d recommend going ahead and doing it.
Great product but instructions could be better. Simple things like identifying parts better to make it quicker to find the right part. Like in step3 installing M10 bolts, they were the only black bolts, if they said that it would have been really quick to identify them in the parts bin.
Better identifying info on pictures to orientate you as to what your looking at.
A zoomed out view every once in a while of where things are in relation to the truck.
In step 10 be more specific about the part your cutting, they talk about taking brake line mount X off and then talks about cutting a brake line mount but its a different one.
Installing Nylon Air lines - SO right off it tells you to cut the line in half ie one for each side, but you should first look at how the line for the right side where the muffler is as I could not route it along that frame rail as it would be WAY to close to the muffler going to the air bag. so I was not able to route it cleaner the long way on the left frame rail and over axle.
Last it NEVER says how to attach the air line to the 90 deg fitting on the air bag. Had to go to youtube to see its a simple press on but without saying that....
Great product! I’ve installed these on two different vehicles that we tow pretty heavy with and both have made a huge difference in handling and safety.
Great system and fairly easy to install. torquing the bolts to spec is somewhat challenging due to difficulty of getting a torque wrench in there. I am towing a 9500lb camper behind my F150 and the air springs made a huge difference. still need a bigger truck but at least I can take my time getting a new one while still towing comfortably with the F150.

Purchased the kit to aid in leveling F150 with 3.5 ton trailer. Have a sway bar kit, but needed a little help getting it level. Other options (springs, etc.) were more costly. Kit well packaged, instructions straight forward. Installation was a leisurely 4 hours. Go to have a second set of hands if you can get help. Run T 5 psi around town and 18-22 psi with trailer connected. HUGE improvement for overall performance in handling.
Really good fix for trailer sag.

Product has been outstanding. Have pulled over 5000 miles with it with zero issues. Helped transfer more load to front suspension which adds more confidence in turns and stopping. Makes leveling a breeze.

Still works well after a year.
It has worked very well for me, I had it professionally installed by Midas. It provides the stability I needed for my very heavy Travel Trailer.
The product was exactly as advertised. The installation instructions and video were easy to follow.
Shipping was quick ! Installation was relatively easy on my 2018 F-150 (thanks to a handy son-in-law who handled most of the under-truck assembly). The instructions were OK, but a little confusing at times (photos reversed) so we had to test fit & retry before install & tightening it all. I'm glad I bought these- they've worked great for handling my 5th-wheel trailer, and the ride is great with or without a load- easy to adjust pressure. Thanks !
The ride is alittle stiffer than expected without any load on with the 5 lb air. And as it warms up and you drive the pressure will raise in the bags.was not expecting that which changed the ride quality.seemed to work fine when towing.
The load lifter installation went fairly easy. Using an oscillating cutter worked well for cutting the bracket on the driver's side. I would recommend watching the video so you can relate with the instructions. The load lifter itself is working as advertised. My trailer pulls much better now.

After a year the load lifter is working flawlessly. I air down for commuting and air up for hauling and towing. I installed the Schrader valves at the license plate screw locations and it gives easy access.

Great Product. Let me tow max capacity of my half ton truck with no sag in the suspension.
Warm weather has allowed my son and me to do this installation. It went well and took us about 5 hours from start to finish including unpacking, reading the manual, installation, and putting up the tools. Then did the leak test and did the test drive. Hauled 500 pounds today and working great. Without any weight in the truck it still rides very smooth.

It has been great especially when I am pulling my travel trailer. I am pulling 5500 to 6000 pounds and this is where you will really notice the improvement! The air ride system with the automatic leveling has made travel with my travel trailer a much less stressful time and I am now a happy camper.
Installation of the Loadlifter 5000 kit went smoothly, no issues at all. One of the best advantages of having this system on my F-150 is the stabilization it provides when towing our camper. I tow a 6,000 lb camper with an 800 lb hitch weight. I use a weight distribution hitch so the truck and camper ride level, as they should. The difference with the Loadlifter system is that it controls the bounce, providing a much more stable and controlled ride. I highly recommend this air spring kit in conjunction with a weight distribution hitch. When you don't need to added support of the air springs, ie no load, just drop the air pressure down to 5 lbs and you don't know they are there.

This is the second Airlift spring set I've installed - both on Ford F150 trucks. Have been very pleased with the product and it's operation. The biggest installation challenge was the mounting nut that held one of the jounces broke lose from its inside frame mounting. Was able to place a replacement nut via a small opening in the frame to mount the upper bracket.
Watched the install video twice before the shipment got here and had no problems installing it. Also installed the WirelessOne from Airlift at the same time. Picked up some 1/4" clamps to make the air lines look a little cleaner, and hold them in place during our snowy and icy winters. Including the WirelessOne system, it took about 8 hours from the time I washed the underside of the truck until I rolled it back out from the garage. Pulled the camper this morning and all my old issues have disappeared. Truck is level, trailer pulls great, and the cooling system is back to working as needed. Highly recommend this suspension kit!
